About the Novel:
The royal family had plans for Prince James’s twenty-first birthday, but so did James, and they didn’t include the royal family. On the night of his big celebration, he ducks his royal bodyguards to party with friends, but his plans are sidetracked by a gift given to him, a mysterious letter, addressed to Bunny.
Bunny was a nickname only his mother used to call him. But his mother, Princess Christina, died four years earlier in a suspicious car crash, and conspiracy theories still circulate. James follows the note to the St. Laurent Restaurant, where a stranger leaves him a Dvd with shocking information about his mother’s death.
So begins James’s perilous journey to uncover the truth about his mother’s untimely demise, but there are those who would stand in his way. Will James find out what happened to Princess Christina and take his place on the throne or will he be doomed to following in his mother’s fatal footsteps?
About the Author:
On Labor Day Sunday in 1997, like many others, I was shocked upon awakening to hear that Princess Diana had been killed in an automobile crash in Paris. Though I wasn’t yet a Diana fanatic, I was stunned and saddened. Because I work in the health care field, I researched what had happened that night in the Alma tunnel and I was disturbed and skeptical about the medical treatment Princess Diana received. I decided to write a book on my findings but in order to make it a compelling read I would write a fictional retelling and change all the names.
Thus, Death of the Queen of Hearts was born.
Death of the Queen of Hearts is a murder thriller told from the point of view of a young prince, as he uncovers the truth about his mother’s death.
Roman A. Clay believes there are four things in life that one should never scrimp on: food, travel, books, and love-not necessarily in that order. Death of the Queen of Hearts is his first novel, based on his screenplay.
